My Skin Care Routine
(For Oily Skin)

I truly love taking care of my skin! I feel like the better your skin looks the less makeup you need to wear, I take my skincare routine very seriously and rarely ever change it however I do like to try new products every now and then. I have very oily skin so its obviously important for me to keep it as dry and oil free as possible to insure I get less breakouts.

Morning

Firstly and most importantly I wash my face first thing in the morning it doesn't only wake you up it also leaves your skin feeling fresh and ready to apply makeup, the one I find really effective is the Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash from the body shop this retails at about £8. I highly recommend it if you suffer from oily skin. Its a very easy product to use and has really helped my skin clear up.

Secondly, Bio-oil for me has been a very new discovery, and I love this product so much, I heard allot of talk about it on the internet. If you are unfamiliar with Bio-Oil its basically for reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tones, ageing skin and dehydrated skin in my case I use it for acne scars, you use this product for a minimum of 3 months to notice a difference however you have to use this product religiously, you can't just use it once or twice a week and expect to see results, it has to be used twice a day for a minimum of 3 months. It works really well with my skin and surprisingly doesn't cause breakouts, it also doubles as a moisturiser (for me) so I don't have to bother with any thing else once this is applied however the only downside to this product is that it take a while to dry, meaning you can not apply your makeup right away not until the oil is completely absorbed into the skin. It comes in 3 different sizes to chose from and retails between £8.99 to £19.99 (depending on the size)

And Finally a body moisturiser the Vaseline Spray and Go. This product is a very new discovery for me but I really like it. You spray it onto your body and rub it in and your done, its very quick and easy to use especially if your in a hurry. It dry's up very easily and smells really good. This is super affordable and retails at £3.99 I haven't used this product long enough to do a full review but I will let you know what I think of it.

Night

I use both these products in the morning as well as at night. The Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash is very good at getting rid of any makeup and really does wonders for your skin, I can not stress this enough using just makeup wipes is not enough! you really need to wash your face to insure all the makeup is off and you have a fresh face. The Bio-Oil has to be used twice a day to be able to see good results.

And Finally Differin, this product is amazing at drying out your skin and preventing acne, its sadly a superscription cream. This product is only given to people who have pretty bad acne not just a few spots, its what most doctors use before referring you to the hospital to try Roaccutane, Roaccutane is a very dangerous medication and they only subscribe this as a last resort. I was on Roaccutan for 8 months and it comes with many side effects. This cream is very much like the drug, obviously Roaccutane is much stronger considering it goes straight into your system.

Okay that is it for my skin care routine I really hoped you enjoyed it and I also hope it helped you somehow. This weekend (in 6 days!) I'm going to see Taylor Swift live at the O2 arena in London so I might not be able to write a blog post however the following weekend I will be doing a full review of the concert!.

My Every Day Make-up Routine For School (natural looking make-up)

Hey! this post is pretty much just a general makeup routine for me, I'm also going to share opinions/short reviews about each product. The picture on the left shows an overview of the products I like to use on a day to day basis especially at school. I live in England and go to a pretty strict catholic school, they hate when girls wear too much makeup and allot of people get told to take it . I never get told off for my makeup so I'm guessing that means it looks pretty natural (I hope anyway).

The first product I tend to go for first is concealer, my favourite one has got to be the collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer this is by far my favourite concealer I've ever used it's amazing and works really well. I usually put this under my eyes and on any spots or scars I have on my face due to acne (which is allot!) it really helps hide my acne and makes me feel much more self confident. It blends really easily to my skin and stays on for a long time. It's also a good product to use if your going swimming in the summer and don't want to wear too much makeup, you can just throw it into your bad and apply it when your done swimming.

The next product I like to use is foundation, the one I like to use it the No 7 Beautifully Matte foundation, this stuff is amazing and has high coverage and does not cause me any breakouts. I won't go into too much about this foundation mainly because I did a blog post about this recently (I'll link it bellow)

The next product I use is the Stay Matte press powder by Rimmel, I use this to basically set my foundation as well as dry my skin (because I have extremely oily skin), its dermatology tested so it doesn't cause breakouts or irritate my skin. it works best when applied with a brush. This product lasts ages and stays on all day, it also helps minimise the appearance of  pores.

For blush my favourite one to use recently is the Estee Lauder pure colour blush number 02 and its called Pink Kiss, it comes in a  blush palette that I recently got for Christmas, its a very pretty pink colour and I've become obsessed with it recently. However it is so pigmented you have to be very careful while applying this because if you take too much it could look horrifically wrong and you will end up looking like a china doll (trust me on this one) . The best way to apply this is to slowly build it up until you are happy with the colour

Mascara for me is probably one of the most important steps when applying my makeup, I find your makeup is never really complete until your done applying the mascara. This mascara is amazing and does exactly what I want which is volume!. I got it about a month ago and I've been using it almost everyday since, its not water prof which is a good thing for me because I hate water prof mascaras because they are almost impossible to take off and really irritate the skin around my eyes, This mascara comes off very easily and is very simple to apply.

And Finally lip products, on a day to day basis I like to apply two different lip products, the first one if the Baby Lips Cherry Me by Maybelline. This products is fairly new to England and I can remember it coming out around September. I simply adore this product it smells amazing and gives a nice pop of colour to you lips as well as being a great lip balm. The next and final product I like to use is the Estee Lauder Garnet Desire Shimmer in number 15, the colour of this product is so pretty and I love it so much! its a very pretty dark pink I couldn't find this on their website and I'm not to sure it might be a limited edition especially since I got it in a Christmas gift set. However the consistency of both products is amazing and they compliment each other very well.

Also let me know in the comments on what you would like to see me review or talk about. I do have very exciting news I'm going to see Taylor Swift Live in the O2 arena on the 2 of February (in 13 days!) and I couldn't be more excited! I will do a full review of the concert.

My Two Favourite Lush Products

I'm fairly new to the world of lush and have only really been in the store twice , however I heard many people talk about how much they love the products at lush, the more I heard about Lush the more I wanted to check the store out and actually buy something, I went around Christmas time (which was pretty lucky considering they best stents are from the Christmas range) while browsing the store and looking at all the different products I bought quite a few from the store, however these two really stuck out for me.

The picture on the right is of my favourite bath ballistic and its called Luxury Lush Pud, this sadly is part of the Christmas range and can not be purchased at any other time in the year (except obviously in the January sales) This smells amazing and I would defiantly buy this again next Christmas. The sent is very seasonal and spicy the best way I find to describe the way it smells is by basically saying if Christmas had a smell this would defiantly be it. When placed in the bath it fizzes and bubbles (like a bath Ballistic should) while using other bath ballistics I found that they don't really colour your bath water, fizz or leave your bath smelling like the actual bath ballistic, with this however I was very impressed because it did not only make my bath water purple but it leaves your bath smelling amazing, plus I found that once I've finished my bath my skin still smells like the bath ballistic its self, my skin also feels very soft and refreshed after the bath and I really urge you try this next Christmas.

The picture on the right is of a message bar, since I have allot of back pain due to my scoliosis ( I have a blog post on scoliosis and how I deal with it if you were interested you can find it on my blog) I found this really useful to relive the pain, the pain does not go way when I use this however it is much more tolerable. I tend to use it after kickboxing or after school because I find after exercise and sitting at a deck all day makes my back pain much worse. This massage bar is available all year round unlike the product above (which is an amazing thing). The sent of this is amazing it smells kinda like chocolate and honey (bare in mind I'm really bad at describing smells so I might be completely off on this one). It rubs in very well and doesn't soak in too quickly, it is fairly small however I find it lasts ages. The massage bar melts at body temperature and turns into rich oil on your skin. I have re purchased this a couple of times already and I have really enjoyed using it. It leaves your skin feeling very soft once the oil is soaked in completely. However this can be very messy so be careful, if you are using this product on your upper back and have long hair, make sure your hair is tied up and stays that way until the product has completely soaked into your skin, this is mainly because I did the mistake of using this while my hair was down, the next morning my hair was very oily (from coming into contact with the oil on my back from the massage bar) and I ended up having to take a shower. I would highly recommend this especially if you have back pain or any kind to muscle/joint pains it really helps.

I hope this blog post helped anyone who was thinking about purchasing any of these products or are just interested to see and read other peoples opinions.
